Buttercup Bunnies

Welcome to Buttercup Bunnies.

Here at Buttercup Bunnies i am a hobbist breeder of standard rex rabbits.
The Rex Rabbit is a breed of rabbit developed in France in 1919. Their unique, dense, plush, velvet-like fur, was caused by a mutation seen in wild rabbits in France in the late 19th century. The rex are very intelligent and can be easily house trained.
This is Luna my Standard Blue Rex doe, bred here by me. She littered her very first litter of twins in feb 2012.
I concentrate only a few select colours, they are as follows: Harlequin, Tri-colour, Blue and Magpie. I am a member of the British Rabbit Council and adhere to all their rules and regulations rearding care and upkeep of my stock.
From time to time i may have some beautiful baby bunnies available for sale. All baby bunnies will not leave from here until they are at least 8 weeks old, and will leave with a supply of changover food and as much advice as needed.

This is Matilda my Standard Rex Magpie doe, who littered a beautiful litter of harlequins and tri's in feb 2012.
This is Rufus, my Standard Rex Tri-colour buck, who sired both Matilda and bonnies litters.
This is Beau my Standard Harlequin Rex doe, bred here by me in Aug 2011
This is Bonnie my Standard Orange doe, who had a beautiful litter of twin Harlequins in Jan 2012.

Please feel free to contact me by email if you are interested in any litters i may have, or i am easily contacted via Facebook on my page Buttercup Bunnies.
Many thanks

Lucy :-)
